Thought melting ice caps and drowning polar bears were the big threat? Looking forward to milder winters and sweatier summers? Those of you who, like me, live in temperate climes may be surprised to learn that tropical diseases such as dengue fever are expected to spread across the US in coming years, following the northward spread of the range of their favorite mosquitos (previously limited to South America, etc.).
