A great post over at Bitch, Ph.D. points out that we can't just tell poor folks to eat healthier -- without more resources (financial, geographical, and environmental), they just can't live the magical middle-class lifestyle that we're projecting as the "healthy alternative" for them. It's easy to forget about all those non-choice factors that constrain nutrional possibilities, although they were also noted here in a general health context. Systemic problems need systemic fixes...
