Semi-sick kid + definitely sick usual caretaker = lots of time off and disrupted schedules for parents. Have been lucky on both counts for most of last two years, so still startled by the degree to which it throws our aspirations and energy levels for the week. Can't imagine what it's like with less flexible employment!!Onward, ho!
