A little bad press may go a long way

There's evidence that Democratic objections to the nuclear option may have paid off, as the GOP's internal polls indicate that public support is not on their side, and that citizens may have accepted the left's frame of the issue as one of fairness and a balance of power (not really the sort the Founders imagined, but whatever works). Keep up those letters to the editor; our fellow citizens can indeed be swayed, and enough swaying can make even headstrong legislators queasy...
