Military recruiting goes off the deep end
In the face of the ever more difficult task of selling military prospects in a time of indefinite war, recruiters are under pressure to find new routes to signing people up. First, they used threats, or let some background factors slide (see the scandal here) and now they've actually sunk to attempted kidnapping in the service of raising their numbers. (Shades of Uganda...)
